03/09/07
Sorry for no updates in so long , our server has been messed up. Any way
we're having a party tonight at Rio Rita, 1308 e. 6th.
This event celebrates our brand new cd ep on Arclight Records. Its called The heaven/Hell ep and boast some cool trax
we recorded back in 2005 , fresh off of a west coast tour with Gorch Fock. Also Rachel Kolar did
an amazing job on the cd at work.
The jams feature Jamey Simms on bass who was playing for Andrew while he was on tour with Son Volt
this is also one of the last recordings done at the Sweatbox before the fire .
In addition to the cd ep there will be a 7" available as well. There were only 300 total pressed
so get this while it lasts. killer artwork by Winn Wallace , screened by bearded lady , pressed on white vinyl,
this 12 minute jam of a Lungfish song
spans 2 sides with the vocals comming in on side 2.
Pretty rare indeed. So again ...cd release tonight Mar. 9th
at Rio Rita doors at 7:30 , Oh Beast! at 8pm and Tia at 9pm. Also keep an eye out for us
during sxsw . We'll be playing a bunch of shows and parties around town .
and last the new jam....this one comes from the same session as the australian cattle god release
and continues directly after the tape ends. DIG IT!!!!
i just got back from the
studio
with some fresh mixes for the 7" that will be released on
arclight. its a 12+ minute
jam , covering a lungfish song off of their last album, feral hymns. everything sounds pretty sweet .
also the first time ive messed around with doing guitar overdubbs , pretty fun!! i also layed down some xtra
guitars on another song, carrera from that sesion , this would be a different version then what appears on
our lates release. of course you can download it right here.

new details on the show page about our shows in new york.
10/11/06
well there is lots of stuff going on in our world right now , release #3 hits the streets
tomorrow!!! 7 jams recorded over the last 2 years in two different studio's. one of which
we recorded november sessions. all i can say is keep an eye out for this one , we've got some
guest musicians on a couple of jams and we're real proud of the way this one turned out .
you can pick this one up through australian cattle god.
to celebrate this event we're having a party at the jackelope/cucaracha this saturday , oct 14th.
the F AND THE C will go on at 11pm and the TIA CARRERA'S will play promptly at midnite , just like the old days.
in addition to the release , we'll be palying the australian cattle god show case at cmj in new york.
the show will be on tues. oct 31st at the trash bar in brooklyn. we are definately stoked to be playing there !
i personally have had a few good times in that place with both tia and gorch fock. we have
a couple of other shows in new york as well one on nov 1st at 3rd ward in brooklyn and also a daytime GIBSON
GUITARS PARTY some where . ill have to get back to you on that one. well thats about it for now. we'll be mastering
the songs for the upcoming arclight release coming , hopefully , before years end.

allright people, we had our first show in quite some time last night at snake eyes vinyl and it rocked !!!it had been too long , but we're back in business. unfortuneatly i have to make this update
short because im wrestling a 3month old baby boy as im writing this but rest assured there will be a jam added , some stuff from our upcoming release, and ill update the show page as well.
blue cheers every one!!!
05/13/06
well here's the first good news , my son oscar was born on april 26th 2006.
now that he's here, safe a sound , i can get back to the other love of my life , this rock n roll band.
so here's the deal , Andrew is back from his latest tour and recording sessions with son volt,
which means that we can get to work finishing up the two releases we have slated for release this coming fall. one willl be on
the new fantastic austin label australian cattle god and the other is coming out on austin stoner rock label
arclight records. rumor has it that arclight will add something special for the first 50 releases sold , possibly a tia 7"??? you 'll have to wait and see.
regardless , tia still has some last minute recording to do for both releases so we're slated to go in to the mark and chico's launchpad studio
to finish up on may 21st . we were also planning on playing a show or two while andrew is back but we may have fucked that up by not getting on the ball quick enough . this town has too many bands and not enough
venues to go around. the good part is , andrew will be home for most of the summer so we'll get some gigs in at tht time.
on to the jam, this is a home recording that we did on my 1/2 inch 8 track
with a freind of ours , named john era, on bass . hope you like it.
03/29/06
of course as you can imagine its taken me for ever to update the site again but now that i have my own lap top maybe ill get better
at doing this. any way here's whats happening in our world . first off , rachel is almost ready to
pop , we've got just over a month left until baby oscar busts out of the sack!!! so im taking a short maternity leave from rock n roll
so i can be close to the action at home . andrew has just left on tour with son volt for a few months. hell be back for one weekend in april , hopefully we be steal him away for a day to record some new stuff for joe rich
at terrible one , he has requested some tia jams to be the soundtrack for his next video. hopefully we can give him something that compliments his radness.
as for erik , well he's nose deep in rock n roll as he embarks on a new path, playing drums for those peabodies . im sure clarke and adam are psyched to have some power in the house!
on to the jam...... here 's a little something that we threw down at emos last month , enjoy.
cheers!

hey our sxsw show with all of the arclight and australian cattle god people was pretty cool,we were all way out of our element at spiro's on the patio but
we managed to have a good ole time as usual. 2 more times to catch us this week . friday the 17th at the whiskey bar with avotar from ???? and sunday at davis's hang over pary at love joys.
both are free daytime gigs .id imagine things will start up around 2 or 3 pm.
02.20.06
once again a little late in the game but still trying to keep up!! we've decided to slow down a bit on the happy hours at room 710 but
in the last couple of months we've come up with some cool live recordings, which we'll definately share with all of you. first one i'll post comes from ruta maya ! this is a show we played on the eve of dec 31
2005 . luckily the sound guy there does rad board recordings and just happend to spin disc durring our set . so here we are on new years eve 2005/2006. enjoy.
upcoming shows here

in other news , you may have seen us out with another bass player. that would be jamie simms. he'll be fillin in for andrew every once in a while , when andrew is out of town with SON VOLT. we're still hard at work on the next release for australian cattle god which should be out by march , also be on the look out for another release on their blue heeler imprint featuring jamie on bass.

Just a quick update to let you know that Tia Carrera will be playing the CMJ festival in New York. The Australian Cattle God showcase will be on Sept. 15 2005 at the Trash Bar in brooklyn i beleive our time slot will be 8pm followed by Attack Formation at 9pm and Gorch Fock at 10pm. so be sure you come out and support austin in brooklyn. Also i 've updated the jam of the month page so check it out . its a jam we wrote in new orleans, performed at room 710 9/14/04 with curt chritiensen on bass. It just seems appropriate to post this jam since hurricane katrina has devestated the area . So consider this our homage to New Orleans and the people who lived there, our hearts go out to you.

Tuesday 1/26/05
ok folks here's the first installment of jam of the month club only were
leaving this one up for 2 months just to give everyone time to get on the
same page.
eventually well be posting one a month but we wont oversaturate you guys yet.
This jam dates all the way back to 2002 the official date is 02.22.02. It
was recorded on my 8 track reel to reel at Room 710 and mixed back at
my house on cloudview. this was the very first recording we did at the 710
and would prove to be the inspiration for recording countless other live
shows which we will bring to you at in the months to follow.
Some cool or
maybe not so cool facts about this jam:
1. assisting me on cutting the tracks is alex from grand champeen.
2. the volume was so loud in the room that it kept rattling the outputs
from the mixing board going to tape , you can hear the guitar tracks
cutting in and out . not enough to sacrifice this killer recording though.
3.at the end of the jam notice the one person applauding in the room ,
either he was the only one there or everyone else was so blown away that
they were speachless, i can't remember.
well enjoy this gem which documents some of the beginning riffs that have
turned us into the band we are today.
xxxmorales!!!!
